Steve Docherty Joins Wrightfield as Sales and Service Manager for Northern England and Scotland

Wrightfield is delighted to introduce Steve Docherty, who will spearhead our sales and service operations in the North of England and Scotland. Steve’s extensive engineering background and customer-focused approach make him a perfect fit for this role.

An Engineering Background Rooted in Versatility

Steve began his career as a multi-skilled engineer, specialising in mechanical and electrical systems. After relocating to Norfolk over a decade ago, he transitioned into the poultry industry, gaining hands-on experience with live bird handling systems and broader food processing machinery.

This isn’t Steve’s first experience with Wrightfield; he originally joined the company in 2016. During his previous tenure, he was instrumental in creating and managing the service department, highlighting his talent for driving growth and operational improvements. Earlier in his career, Steve gained extensive hands-on experience with complex systems, working across the USA, Western Europe, and Saudi Arabia.

Leadership and Reliability Expertise

In the last few years Steve worked as a Reliability Engineer Manager at Two Sisters, overseeing a team of engineers to enhance the dependability of their production facilities. His experience managing complex engineering systems, as well as large teams of Engineers has honed his ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments.

Returning with Fresh Perspective

Steve’s move to Scotland allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the region’s industries and customer needs. Reflecting on his decision to rejoin Wrightfield, Steve shares:
