Wrightfield is excited to welcome Mike Carroll to the team, taking on the pivotal role of spares sales development. With a career path that combines hands-on technical expertise, strategic supplier management, and a deep understanding of customer needs, Mike is set to elevate our spares service to new heights.

A Career Rooted in Technical Excellence

Mike’s journey began in the Royal Navy, where he trained as an operator mechanic. His early career focused on understanding complex mechanical systems, a foundation that has fuelled his passion for technical and parts-based roles ever since.

After leaving the Navy, Mike transitioned to the civilian world, quickly rising through the ranks in the automotive industry at Toomey Group in Essex. His knack for managing parts systems and understanding customer needs saw him progress from Parts Driver to Assistant Parts Manager.

Mike then expanded his agricultural and commercial machinery expertise with companies like Case IH, CLAAS and DAF Trucks. From selling and servicing complex machines like Combine Harvesters and lorries to implementing innovative automated parts ordering systems, Mike has consistently demonstrated his ability to bridge the gap between suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

A Vision for Spares Sales at Wrightfield

In his new role, Mike is focused on creating and optimising critical parts lists for Wrightfield’s key machinery. These lists will help customers minimise downtime and maximise productivity by ensuring they have the right parts or can quickly source them.

“Time is money,” Mike emphasises. “Businesses can face significant losses if a machine goes down and the part isn’t immediately available. I aim to provide transparency and help customers decide which parts to stock or prepare for.”

Customer-Centric Solutions

Mike’s approach to spares sales is rooted in building strong relationships with suppliers and customers. By understanding each party’s needs, he ensures seamless communication and solutions that benefit everyone.

“Our suppliers need to know they’re valued, and our customers need to trust that we’ll deliver what they need when they need it,” Mike explains. “I’m here to be that bridge, ensuring we meet expectations on both sides.”

Excited for the Road Ahead

In a short time, Mike has already started implementing processes to streamline spares sales at Wrightfield. His early work on the critical parts list for our food dicers is just the beginning, and he has big plans to expand this approach across the company’s conveyor, equipment and machinery lineup.

Please join us in welcoming Mike to the Wrightfield family! With his expertise and dedication, we’re confident that our spares sales department is in great hands. Stay tuned for exciting updates as Mike helps Wrightfield continue to deliver exceptional service and innovation to our customers.
