A transfer conveyor transports materials from one location to another in various industrial and commercial settings. They are prevalent in processing industries because they are so versatile and efficient and have the ability to improve overall workflow.
Common Applications
- Manufacturing: A transfer conveyor is used in assembly lines to move parts and products between stations.
- Warehouse and distribution: They are used to move items between storage areas and shipping areas.
- Agriculture: Transfer conveyors move crops and other agricultural products from the field to storage or processing facilities.
- Mining: They move ore, coal, and other materials from mining sites to processing plants.
- Construction: They are welll suited to moving building materials, such as gravel and sand, to construction sites.
- Recycling: They move recyclable materials, such as paper and plastic, from collection points to recycling plants.
The Wrightfield transfer conveyor is designed to transfer products/materials to other belt systems. Each conveyor is designed specifically for the customer’s purposes, using only the finest quality components and materials. We design with hygiene as a top priority at each stage of production.
Due to the bespoke design, the transfer conveyor can be supplied at various angles, with turn radii, belt types, and widths to suit new or existing process lines.
Why are they prevalent in Processing environments?
Transfer conveyors are popular in processing industries because they offer enhanced efficiency, versatility, space optimisation, improved safety, product integrity, cost efficiency, customisation, easy integration, and increased productivity. Their ability to streamline operations, reduce manual labour, and maintain product quality makes them indispensable in modern processing facilities.
90 Degree Conveyors Transfers Designed & Manufactured in the UK
Belt-to-belt 90-degree transfers often use a turn post to quickly guide the product around the angle. The lowest-cost solution is to lower one of the conveyors to the products and drop them onto the conveyor below. Automated pushers on sensors can be incorporated to move the products from one conveying system to another.

Frequently Asked Questions on Modular Belt Conveyor Systems
1. Can modular belt conveyors be run on an incline? This depend on your product but usually up to 45 degrees can be achieved without flights…
Conveyor Systems are mechanical devices or assemblies that transport materials, components, products or food with minimal effort.
Whilst there are a numerous different kinds of conveyor systems, they usually follow a standard configuration.
Plastic modular belts are perfectly suited to going round bends and curves
They can be easily repaired ( in the event of a breakage) and extended should the need occur. This has the advantage that the plastic belts can be changed quickly.
There are three main industrial classes of belt conveyors; food processing conveyors, general material handling and bulk material handling.
The conveyor belt system you need will depend on what your transporting, the speed it…
A conveyor system is fundamentally an assembly of different conveyors ( they could be the same type within different production stages , or different types of conveyors) that are assembled together to transport materials (from start to finish) with the minimum of effort compared to doing the transporting the goods manually
Essentially a conveyor system comprises of a frame which supports the conveyor mechanism ( which could be either gravity fed or powered) .
Conveyor systems are used in a wide variety of industries as a standard item of mechanical handling equipment to move products, raw materials, food products, ingredients, goods, raw goods, and an almost limitless set of other materials from one location to another, usually within the same production area or building.
Because they remove a significant element of manual handling they are extremely handy for businesses that deal with bulky goods, heavy items, raw materials, and mass-production items.
